A Short History podcast

A Short History, the blog, is dedicated to historical explorations, mostly in the Brandywine Valley…and a few other places too! I {Rebecca} usually focus on locations that I can visit and photograph myself. So all history, scandals and nearly forgotten stories dug up here are accompanied with my photography and occasionally old family photos. If a photo is not mine it will be noted in the post. I use primary or academic sources for each post, they are always linked at the bottom. A Short History, the podcast, is dedicated to digging up old scandals, bizarre stories and secrets only the newspapers remember.

A few extra blog notes:

○ Photos are taken with a Canon T2i and the kit lens (18-55mm).
○ The title font for A Short History is “Libre Baskerville” and “Lancelot” for the podcast artwork.
○ You can see the archives of this site and a photo index of all the posts by clicking
on the category links in the sidebar menu.

REBECCA

Rebecca writes and photographs the posts on this blog and also researches, writes and narrates the podcast. Originally from Cleveland, Ohio she now lives in the Brandywine Valley {the Brandywine Valley are the areas of Delaware and Pennsylvania that border the Brandywine River}. She has a master’s degree, specializing in research and technologies, from the University of Pittsburgh. When not working on posts here, Rebecca works as a digital content coordinator for a non-profit. She spends her spare time taking photos of her dog (he has Instagram, here!) or dreaming of Australia.

SARAH

Sarah is the producer, editor, and announcer of the podcast. She is currently working towards a Master’s Degree in Library and Information Sciences. She recently earned her J.D. from Widener University. She has been a history buff since memorizing the lines to the film “Gettysburg” at an embarrassingly young age. This is her first foray into the podcasting world, although she has been an avid history podcast listener for several years.
